We All Scream For Ice Cream

I can’t think of one person who doesn’t like ice cream and by the looks of it neither can Puma. So much so, that they’ve dedicated their latest collection to the chilled, summery, creamy goodness. The ‘Ice Cream Pack’ is a trio of suede styles pays lyrical nods to Raekwon’s track ‘Ice cream’, in your choice of three tasty colourways – French vanilla, butter pecan, and chocolate deluxe. Each comes in a suede upper with embossed Puma branding, all sitting on top of a speckled rubber sole. You might be wondering why I am showing you them and talking about them, well the answer is simple. I am shooting an upcoming feature for Foam Magazine that will involve milkshakes, ice cream, and babes. Alot of planning has gone into this, from location, styling, etc. Really cant wait to show you more.

Who’s Got A Sweet Tooth?

Its been quiet on the blog front as I have been working extra hard behind the scenes on a new project that is almost about to launch. Today I can show you some of the initial shots of my new swim brand Sweet Tooth Swim, a bikini brand for the sweet life. While we are putting the finishing touches on the line, the site, and shooting an filming the lookbook I had some time with some babes to shoot each of the flavours in the upcoming “Milkshake” Collection. Vanilla, Strawberry, and Chocolate never looked so good as they do on Valeriya, Carlise, and Laura. Im really excited to show you more but for now this will have to do.

Spring Forward With Change

With a new year comes new contracts and new work, all which are always welcome. I spent the past week in NYC working for 2 brands, the first of which was VC. A new high end streetwear brand from Montreal making some big noise in the industry. Hot off the heels of Liberty Fairs we hit the streets of the big apple and made our way to One World Trade where we shot a clean lookbook for the brand. A mix of neutral colours accenting each other off the minimal surroundings made for a very nice look for the SS16 Capsule which will soon be available. Everything in the collection is cut an sew, and was created by the designer Matt Beach and owner Sabrina Silvano. Take a look at the shots below. I think this is what street wear Heaven looks like.

Rooftop Rendevous

This summer I saw some shots of a model that looked like Ruby Rose and was living in my city. The images were great, but the girl caught my eye an I wanted to shoot with her instantly. Well instantly wasnt until yesterday but it finally happened. One thing I noticed in this business is that shoots can be as easy or as hard as you make it. Thankfully Carolyn Boisvert aka Greenwood Music is like me and easy was the word for the day. We hiked up on to some rooftops in the Vieux Port and just kept it simple and shot. Yesterday was -1 and very icy so rooftops were extra sketch. As flawless as the shots are, Carolyn almost took a nasty step down….10 stories down. Needless to say I still have that images in my head, but hey we got the shots. Here are a few of my favs!

Married In VEGAS

A lot of big things coming up but none have me as excited as the upcoming Married To The Mob lookbook shoot in Las Vegas. I have been a huge fan of this brand for years. Not only cause they kill the ladies street wear game but because the images and women they shoot are always fierce. Being able to contribute to that all is pretty damn cool. I have crazy ideas, in a city filled with insane locations, and I have the best model to shoot it all with in some incredible gear. This year has been amazing so far and its only gonna get better with July being completely booked. More to come soon!

I chose a pretty epic location for the FW15 PKG lookbook shoot. The Scarborough Bluffs in Toronto Canada are known for their steep drops, mudslides, and epic looking beach line. We hiked along the cliff line shooting all the way to the bottom where the water touched the shore, capturing some pretty amazing images. The new line of bags and totes from the Canadian brand are as always designed for the urban commuter, and whats great is the DRI system keeps your bags dry and protected in all kinds of scenarios, even when hanging off 2000 ft falls. Check out the sheer magnitude of the drop in the first image.

Born A Lion SlamXHype Feature

I shot some of the new Spring teasers for Born A Lion in LA a few weeks back. We scouted a rad location up in Griffith Park which was the old LA Zoo which is now abandoned. The homies over at SlamXHype were rad enough to showcase all the images as well as do a pretty sweet right up. You can see it all by clicking the link, here.

MIssion Workshop Fall Editorial

The people over at Stashed did an amazing write up on the first of three Mission Workshop projects I am doing, featuring all the images from the shoot. I am always humbled when any of my work gets some attention. But when its main stream media giving it love I am just without words. I really put everything into this shoot, from early call time, to travel, to almost breaking my ankles jumping rocks to get shots. I knew when I was editing it was worth it. This is just the cherry on top. Click the link to take a read.

Fall 14 Essentials Part II

Another day, another location, and another set of Fall 14 Essentials for Men. Trekking a little more into the city for this one, we found the perfect empty cement skeleton backdrop for the shoot. My friend Mat Hew helped with the being pretty part, and some great brands helped to dress him up courtesy of the boutique 808 in Montreal. Oakleys , Levis 501, NIKE, RVLT and Fjallraven round off the list. Look for more Essentials to come with some more killer brands before Fall hits.

Fall 14 Essentials

I had the chance this week to shoot something I had been looking forward to, an editorial mini lookbook with a few of my fav Fall 14 essentials. My friend Mat Hew came down for the weekend to not only adventure with me, but to model some of the goodies. We hit a location I had previously scouted out for this. I wanted a very urban/concrete jungle feel to the lookbook and I think thats what I got. Off limits doesnt always mean you cant sneak around and get a few shots, on the ground or in the sky. We had to avoid a few security patrols, hop a few fences, and climb roughly 700ft. But at the end of the day I think it was all worth it. Big thanks to HUF (Original Logo Pullover), Zanerobe (Dynamo Slingshot), PKG (LB01), and Nike (Flyknit 4.0) for hooking up product.
